The Australian Masters Athletics Championships were held this year in Adelaide in April.
We had 2 athletes competing – Alison in the 30-34 years 60m and 100m and April in the 45-49 years 60m and 100m.
Alison went into the championships ready to race. She had an almost flawless lead up to the championships and it paid off.
She took 1st place in both the 60m and the 100m. In the 100m she had over half a second improvement from the State Masters in February.
April went into the championships with an achilles injury, and a not so perfect lead up to the championships but still managed a half a second improvement in the 100m in just 7 weeks of training and 3 tenths of a second improvement in the 60m.
